Sell wholesale meat to approved trade buyers
In short
Verified suppliers list wholesale meat on Protein Link with the product, specification, storage state, pack format and volume available, and set their own base price. Protein Link adds its margin to show approved buyers one price, and your base price is never shown to them. Buyers send order requests, you accept the ones you want, and the buyer pays through the platform before anything ships.
Who sells on Protein Link
Suppliers are Australian businesses that move protein by the carton or pallet: processors, boning rooms, wholesalers, distributors and cold stores. Every supplier is verified before it can list. That keeps the marketplace to legitimate trade businesses on both sides.
What goes into a listing
Every listing follows the same structure, so buyers compare like with like and spend less time asking you questions you have already answered.
- Product and cut description
- Specification, such as bone-in or boneless, trim level or grade where relevant
- Storage state: chilled or frozen
- Pack format, for example carton type and weight
- Volume available
- Your base price
Your pricing stays confidential
You set the base price. Protein Link applies its margin and shows buyers one price per listing, ex GST. Buyers never see your base price. Freight is quoted separately for each shipment and confirmed before the buyer pays, so it does not sit inside your listing price.
Control over who sees what
Visibility controls let you decide which buyer groups can see sensitive listings. That matters when you want to move volume without disrupting the customers you already supply directly.
From order request to dispatch
- An approved buyer sends an order request against your listing
- You review and accept the request
- Freight for the shipment is quoted and confirmed
- The buyer pays through the platform before anything ships
- Once payment and freight are resolved, the buyer's delivery details are released to you through an audited delivery label
How you get paid
Payouts are set up through Stripe Connect. Stripe verifies your business and the ID of a director or owner, and you nominate the bank account to be paid; Protein Link never sees your bank login. Once a buyer's payment is verified, your share transfers to your Stripe account for that order, and Stripe pays your bank on its payout schedule. There is no invoice to send or chase.
Freight and availability
Refrigerated freight is coordinated through Protein Link's carrier partner. Your pickup lane and the delivery lanes available to buyers are confirmed during onboarding, and paid trading opens alongside refrigerated freight. You remain responsible for the quality of the product you sell and for describing it accurately.
Joining
There is no cost to request access, get verified or list stock. Supplier fees are confirmed during verification and depend on product category and trading volume. Start with a supplier access request, or read the supplier onboarding guide to see each stage.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to accept every order request?
No. Buyers send order requests against your listing, and you decide whether to accept each one.
When does the buyer's identity become visible to me?
Buyer delivery details are released to the supplier after the order is paid and freight is resolved, through a delivery label whose every access is audited.
Do I need to issue an invoice to the buyer?
No. The buyer pays through the platform, and your share is transferred to your Stripe account for that order once payment is verified.
Which categories can I list?
Beef, lamb, pork, chicken and poultry, seafood and smallgoods, chilled or frozen. Kangaroo, game, offal and pet food inputs are traded by arrangement.
Who is responsible for the quality of the product I sell?
The supplier. Protein Link verifies businesses and structures the transaction, but it does not process, store or own the product.
